Who Are We?
James Bradford Evans founded Bradford Consulting Group in 2001. As Principal Consultant for Bradford Consulting Group, “Jim” is dedicated to cultivating a personalized relationship with each client to offer a superior level of service to his or her organization. Working exclusively with the nonprofit community for the past thirteen years, Jim has helped thousands of individuals all over the United States improve their Raiser’s Edge database efficiency through both training and consultation.
In 1997, Jim joined Blackbaud as a Raiser’s Edge Product Specialist and supported the first release of The Raiser’s Edge for Dos. His first year at Blackbaud was spent almost exclusively taking calls and resolving Raiser’s Edge client issues on the Customer Support Hotline. During this time, Jim became acutely aware of the challenges his clients face. Jim went on to become an instructor for Blackbaud University and helped pioneer the Raiser's Edge training program for the company. Throughout his career with Blackbaud, he received many individual honors for leadership, hard work, dedication and client satisfaction.
Upon Blackbaud’s acquisition by an investment group in 2000, Jim witnessed what he perceived to be some negative effects on some of Blackbaud’s clients. Along with the transition of leadership came a disparaging change in the company’s core culture. This served as Jim’s inspiration for founding the Bradford Consulting Group and renewing a more personal approach for doing business.
As an independent company, Bradford Consulting Group is able to offer the Raiser’s Edge user a more superior level of service. Presently, Bradford Consulting Group is made up of former Blackbaud employees and nonprofit professionals. The staff are very respectful and knowledgeable of the nonprofit community and are highly specialized in their areas of expertise. This select group of individuals includes Crystal Report writers, custom programmers, expert Raiser’s Edge trainers and consultants, and fundraising directors.
